Attention sticker lovers! This is the extraordinary John Derian Sticker Book. It features more than seven hundred stickers in a convenient book format. This visually stunning assortment of images is from Derian's personal archive of eighteenth and nineteenth century prints. They include flowers, birds, animals, insects, marine life and much, much more. The stickers are on book pages that measure 6.25 x 8 inches. They come in all shapes and sizes - from tiny to full page and everything in between. In general the size of these stickers is larger, especially when compared to other books. Yay! There is one sticker per design - some are in coordinating groups. Most are full-color stickers. A few are black and white or sepia. The color and detail are remarkable. So is the paper and print quality. I love the stickers matte finish. It gives them a subtle, natural look. I was able to remove the stickers from the book easily without them tearing. The stickers stick as they should. I've stuck them on paper, glass and cardboard. There is a very slight or natural border around each sticker. The stickers are found on every other spread. The backing pages are nice too. I worked out a cost of less than 0.07 cents Canadian a sticker (less than 0.04 cents US). Ready to create? Just peel and stick. The possibilities are endless. I've listed a bunch of ideas at the end of this post. How would you use them? See excerpts and a vintage keepsake box I made below. Artisan Books released this 320 page hardcover on November 9, 2021.
