Fold some green! Dollar Bill Animals in Origami by origami expert John Montroll features over 30 animal models folded with dollar bills. No US bills? Make some! On page 10 there are several easy ways to approximate the US dollar's proportions using square or rectangular paper. For example, make 3 rectangles for folding by dividing a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 inch printer paper into equal thirds. This very simple technique is shown below. Another option is to use 3 x 7 inch rectangles. I recommend making your own paper because learning the folds is easier with larger paper. There are 32 designs in total. Each has a rating of simple, intermediate or complex. Most are intermediate. These models are very detailed. They come with large, clear diagram instructions that conform to the internationally approved Yoshizawa-Randlett system. It's a diagramming system used to describe the folds of origami models. Essential pages on origami symbols and basic folds are included. The folding sequences of all designs are illustrated with white and gray paper, not dollar bills. Dedicated folders will love the challenges of this non-traditional origami! Dover Publications released the 128 page paperback on April 18 2018. Get your copy below!
