Looking for great images? Look no further. WOW! This is Extraordinary Things to Cut Out and Collage by Maria Rivans. Choose from over 1,500 quality images selected and assembled by the pop-art collage artist herself. To use simply cut out and glue. The range is impressive! Images are organized by category - people, art and culture, technology, domestic life, built environment and the natural world. Most are in color. Some are in black and white, some sepia or other tones and filters. There are a few pages of repeating elements. A section of full-page images may be used as backgrounds for your collages. They include large elements, scenes and pin-up girls. All images are printed on large, single-sided pages. Each page is packed with an assortment of small, medium and large images. No space is wasted. This fabulous collection of images is ideal for collage, mixed media, artwork, vision boards or whatever you like. Some of my personal favorites are from the natural world section - leaves, animals, birds, fish, sea life, bugs and butterflies. Choose the image you want to use. Roughly cut around it to remove it from the page. Then cut the image out precisely. Alternatively remove the entire page by cutting along the dotted vertical line. Combine images to make one-of-a-kind art works or add to those collected from other sources. With this extensive collection at your fingertips finding great imagery is fast, easy and tidy. I love it! The table of contents is listed below. Laurence King Publishing released this 208 page paperback on April 2, 2020. Get your copy below!

CUT PAPER PICTURES Review
In CUT PAPER PICTURES expert collage artist Clover Robin shows how to Turn Your Art and Photos into Personalized Collages. She says 'My collages aren't just a form of self-expression; they are a documentation, a record of things I've seen and done.' This personal element appeals to me very much. She begins with the basics of collage, the tools and materials, how to color and store your papers and inspiration. This includes a basic step-by-step collage exercise. Next Clover breaks down precisely how she composes her collages, layer by layer - from subject to methods and techniques. She includes lots of step-by-step collage exercises experimenting with color, composition, medium and theme. I like to glean all the tips I can, particularly from someone who does it so well. This is a wonderful art instruction book on collage. It's a very pretty book loaded with colorful collage throughout. And as a bonus it includes 12 collage papers featuring unique colors, patterns and styles. The pages measure 8.4 x 10.4 inches (21.3 x 26.4 cm) and are perforated for easy removal. Use for your own collage making. Rock Point Publishing released this 184 page hardcover on August 21, 2018. Get your copy below!

Once Upon a Piece of Paper (KIT) Review & Giveaway
I have long wanted to explore paper collage and just came across the perfect book. Once Upon a Piece of Paper, A Visual Guide to Collage Making by Andrea D'Aquino – released on September 15, 2016 by Rockport Publishers. It is an engaging, 112 page collage how-to book and 50 sheet paper pad housed in an elastic-bound hardcover case. Gather your scissors, glue stick and other nice to have supplies. I used old magazines and raided my paper recycling bin. The included 8" x 8" paper pad is superb– bold patterns and solids! Next, learn 10 ways to think like an artist. This chapter is very helpful in silencing your inner critic. It includes musings on the creative process from artist/author Andrea. It is worth returning to. Then jump right in to the 25 hands-on collage art exercises. You will explore various creative techniques including scale, shape, perspective and more. You do yours, Andrea shows you hers. I even show you mine. Hers are very inspiring, she is an illustration and design expert! This book is a delightful collage showpiece and excellent resource, all in an easy to digest format. I'm hooked. Get your copy below!
