Paper Home: Beautifully Unique Origami Projects by Esther Thorpe is a 144 page hardcover released Feb. 7, 2017 from – Publisher: Pavilion Books. Whether every day or special occasion these paper folding projects will help you add a unique personal touch to your home. For example, my new favorite origami fold, the Triangular Basket – photo below. It may look difficult to make but it's actually very easy. A dab or two of glue and it's quite sturdy. With Easter approaching I'm going to use my basket as an Easter table favor. One for each place setting. By adding some crinkle paper and Easter eggs it's an eye-catching geometric nest. It's just 1 of the 15 home decor paper folding projects in Ester's book. I've folded several of the designs and found the instructions, both photo and text, very clear. The projects vary in degree of difficulty. Paper, scissors, glue and other easy to find craft supplies required. A sheet of paper is full of possibilities. Origami Bunny Paper Towel Tutorial

I made this cute little bunny with one of those half sheet paper towels and six quick and easy folds. I love the little ears and cottontail, perfect for Easter! I began with a rectangular paper towel 15 x 28cm, once folded the bunny measures 10cm in height. Stands upright or lays flat. No scissors, glue or tape used. I originally came across this as a cloth napkin fold. Tutorial below.

Origami Basket

I found this wonderful design in the Origami Party Time! Kit by Florence Temko. It comes with instructions for 25 simple party projects including decorations, favors and table settings, along with 104 sheets of colourful origami paper in two sizes. Here a 21cm square folds into a 7.5cm x 7.5cm x 4cm basket. What I love is that the handle, a 20cm strip of ribbon (or paper) is folded right into the basket and it is very secure. You may find many uses for this basket, which can be made in any size by using a smaller or larger square sheet of paper.

Origami Bunny Rabbit

I found this design in the beautifully packaged and portable Creatures & Critters Origami Craft Pad by Randy Stratton. It comes with instructions for 25 projects and 75 sheets of pretty paper 13 x 13cm in size. Transform paper into adorable animal friends. Eight projects require scissors, this one included. This cute little bunny, folded out of 7.5cm square origami paper can be reproduced very quickly. Please check out the tutorial below.
