John Derian In the Garden Notebooks Review

Have you heard of John Derian yet? He's a hot New York City based artist and designer known for his fabulous decoupage. These are his In the Garden Notebooks - a set of three unruled, blank, notebooks. Each notebook features a stunning garden print on both the front and back covers. These six images are from his spectacular collection of antique prints and include pansies, insects and roses. Inside, the notebook's creamy white pages feel smooth and comfortable to write on. I used a liquid gel pen and experienced no ink feathering, bleeding or ghosting. The paper has a nice thickness and weight. Each notebook has a more than adequate 64 pages - making them not too thick or thin. The pages measure 8.5" L x 6" W (15.24 x 21.59 cm). The book's spine is stitched, i.e. sheets are folded in half and stitched along the fold line. With detailed images and pretty cover colors, the look of these notebooks is very pleasing. They have an elegant, rustic appeal. Both stylish and functional these notebooks are a joy to have! Once you fill them, they become beautiful keepsakes. I'm using mine as personal journals to write and draw in. How would you use them? Artisan Books released these notebooks on April 13, 2021. Get yours below!
