I am a macrame beginner. In this photo I am practicing my knots with 2 strands of cord. The cord is secured to the dowel with 2 lark's knots followed by a square knot. It isn't difficult. It is enjoyable. Both the white cord and the wooden dowel are from the kit.

Modern Macrame is published by becker&mayer! a division of the Quarto Publishing Group USA. Check out their unique catalog at becker&mayer! Quarto has generously offered to giveaway a kit! One winner will be selected at random. Open until November 26, 2017. Canada & the USA only. Good luck!
