Drawing for Joy Review & GIVEAWAY

I couldn't wait for this book to arrive! It's as lovely on the inside as it is on the cover. Drawing for Joy: 15-Minute Daily Meditations to Cultivate Drawing Skill and Unwind with Color by Stephanie Peterson Jones. The 144 page paperback was released July 1, 2017 from Publisher Quarry Books. It's a playful draw-in exercise book suitable for beginning artists. It combines the practice of meditation and art making. Meditation is introduced first. The author emphasizes that even 3 minutes of meditation before art practice is beneficial. The book is divided into 52 weekly subjects. Each subject has 7 daily prompts. There are about 365 engaging prompts or drawing activities. These drawing activities are intended to take about 15 minutes. The lessons build upon each other. Add pencils and pens to draw with. And colored pencils and pens, markers and watercolor pens to add color. You decide. Though the approach is relaxed you will also learn about art fundamentals, for example the elements and principles of art and design. An appreciation of art and art creation is inevitable. Get your copy below!
