Creative Origami and Beyond Review & GIVEAWAY

Creative Origami and Beyond: Inspiring tips, techniques, and projects for transforming paper into folded works of art – by authors Jenny Chan, Paul Frasco, Coco Sato, and Stacie Tamaki. A 160 page paperback released November 7, 2016 by Walter Foster Publishing, USA. It includes 8 large sheets of rectangular origami paper – attractive, patterned, tear out style paper, with solid, robins egg blue reverses, measuring 8 1/2" x 11 1/2". Following the origami basics, 4 paper artists turned authors share their unique interpretations of this diverse and ancient art. The result, a stunning variety of paper folding projects ranging from easy to difficult. Here's a peek of Coco Sato's section. She mixes origami and paper cutting (kirigami), even introducing electro-origami with innovative lighted pieces like the fairly tiara. She sources the few inexpensive electro-components required, though all projects can be done without them. The results – interesting, three-dimensional, functional and artistic pieces. Scissors, glue and the like needed. Get your copy below! Above: Medallions by Coco Sato, page 60.
