The Year of the Monkey

February 8 marks the start of the Lunar New Year on the Chinese calendar. 2016 is the Year of the Monkey, based on a twelve year cycle, each year related to an animal. China Post honors the Year of the Monkey with this stamp series, one with a female monkey holding two baby monkeys and the other a male monkey with a big peach in his hand. Huang Yongyu designed the stamps.
